Youth Mindfulness

This is a tailor made course for small groups or school classes for 7-11 year olds - consisting of two sessions each week, over 8 weeks.

Bringing mindfulness into children’s lives when they are young gives them a magic tool for living - not just for coping with anxiety or worries but teaching them a way to find the joy in their worlds & live from it.

We go through the concepts of attention, breathing, allowing, gratitude & willpower…

…and then move on to appreciating others & kindness, resilience & learning to watch the mind & our own thoughts - ‘mindsight’

The course is experiential - including learning guided mediations, breathing practices, mindful Qigong movements ...even mindful eating & walking. Children work as a whole group & in pairs.

It is amazing to see how easily children connect to the concepts - their natural curiosity makes them open to mindful practice. Building up mindful practice over the 8 weeks establishes the children’s own ability to practice.
